O Christmas Tree

OUR FIRST CHRISTMAS MARRIED! We put up a Christmas tree in our little apartment! We were so excited to put it up but we weren't sure how it would look because we didn't have lots of ornaments.

Once it was up, we had to take pictures to document another "first" together!

Brian's Grandma Larson owned all the white ornaments which made it extra special to us to have her apart of this Christmas with us.

Best Buddies

Rebecca Tanner and I have the BEST opportunity to be apart of BEST buddies this year! Denise Smock has become more than our BEST buddy, but a very, very dear friend! Denise loves to bake and make goodies, so we have been doing just that!

Below are our Halloween spiders and our cupcakes that we decorated! Aren't they cute? Denise is a wonderful decorator!

Denise loves Brian. She's only met him once, but she constantly asks about him whenever we call her and whenever we see her. It's funny because I told her that Brian likes to eat and so now whenever we make goodies she gets nervous that he will eat them all! We made a treat for a party and it had to stay at my house overnight... and I think she told me 5 or 6 times to "make sure Brian doesn't eat them" or "Tell Brian eating these are a no-no!" Haha She's a doll!

We went to a Thanksgiving cook-off and had to bring a treat! So we made these cute turkeys!
They were too cute to eat, but we definitely had some!

We LOVE Denise! Her birthday is coming up on the 29th and so Becca and I have been planning a fun little surprise for her! We are really excited!

Best Feeling

Registration for Spring semester was yesterday. Let me tell you, one of the best feelings ever is signing up for your last semester of college... WOAH! I was looking at my list of classes and felt like my eyes were playing tricks on me... NO MORE BLANKS? What? Yeah that's right! Then it'll be off to medical school and getting a big girl job!
Today I threw away our pumpkins that we carved. Yes we did carve pumpkins BEFORE November even if it was at 11:30 PM on October 31st! Here are our wonderful pumpkins. And we look tired in this picture because we most definitely were tired!

Brian and I love our ward. It's a family ward full of newlyweds and nearly-deads. There aren't really any people in between that age. That's fine with me though because it's just a combination of my favorite people. We have made many friends that are just as crazy as us. One of these friends are Stephen and Jen Noorlander pictured below.
Brian has found his long lost twin. DEAD SERIOUS! Stephen and Brian were meant to find each other. They are so alike in personalities it is sometimes creepy. They decided to go trick-or-treating together. Yes, that's right. Imagine a 25 year-old and 23 year-old coming to your door! (I will admit I don't approve!) They only hit a few houses but they came back with more candy than I ever remember receiving when I was young! Luckily for me, Jen and I get a long really well so we just did homework and talked while we waited for the boys to come home.

Anyway, we LOVE this couple!

Anyway, we are very excited for this semester to be over and even MORE excited to see our family and friends next week! Boy do we have LOADS to be thankful for!

Chad+Emily Engagment Pictures!

Brian's best friend Chad Knowles is getting married to the cute Emily Armstrong! We are SO excited for this cute couple! December 29 is their date and it is coming up faster than we think! I was able to take some engagement pictures for them and they turned out great! Of course, I am still practicing, and having such a cute couple makes things SO much easier! (Some of these pictures got cut-off when I posted them, woops!)

Family Pictures

For two months my family has been planning family pictures. In fact, it was the talk of all talks. "November 5th! Do you know what you are wearing yet?" It was a pretty big deal because the last time we took family pictures, I was in junior high (the awkward years)-and before that I was in Kindergarten. Not only did I need to redeem myself from the last ones, but this would probably be the next picture to last us another decade or two!
The weather decided to play with us. The snow started and then the sun came out, then the snow started again. We had a great photographer lined up, but canceled it because the weather was too weird and just went with my sister Camille. We went over to middle inlet with a tripod and some chairs and took our own! They turned out great though!

Yay Kendell Klan!

Chewy Candycorn

Brian and I made some delicious fudge for our Halloween parties this last weekend. Not only was it DELICIOUS, it was pretty easy too!
  • 3 bags of white chocolate chips
  • 2 cans of sweet and condensed milk
  • Half a bag of mini marshmallows
  • Food coloring
Brian was a doll and helped me make it. We melted it all together in a pan and then split it up in thirds that were put in two other pans. We left the room to let the first layer sit in the fridge to harden. About ten minutes later I could smell something burning and I thought, "There is no way that the fridge could burn our fudge!" I went into the kitchen and sweet Brian had turned the oven on for the other fudge "To keep it warm" he said. And it burned the whole thing!
I was really touched in how much he wanted to help me that I couldn't bring myself to be mad at all. In fact, I think it was kind of cute how it all worked out. We just made due with what we had and it still turned out tasty!

I have to admit though, I was so happy to be rid of it all because we ate this with every meal all weekend and in between too! It was too yummy! And it looks cute too!

P.S. I couldn't help it. I saw this and it made me laugh. :)
