Saying Goodbye to Utah, Friends, and Family was difficult.. but we know the wonderful adventures that the Lord has in store for us are going to be well worth the distance from our loved ones.
Here are just a few moments we caught with our loved ones before we left..
Then it was time for the big departure....
We read our good fortunes as we drove.. Very appropriate. "You are always welcome in any gathering." was Brian's. Mine said, "Today is a good day for being with a companion." I couldn't have agreed more. It was a long and hard day, leaving behind family.
I didn't think I would cry until after I got to Chicago and reality set in.. but it hit me the night before. As I knelt down and prayed with my family for the last time living in Utah. Then of course the next morning as I waved goodbye to my sweet mom and hugged her one last time.
Then it was time for the 22 hour drive with our Uhaul towing behind us. We were blessed with beautiful sunsets and sunrises as we drove.
It wasn't before long that we said goodbye to the mountains and hello to flat, humid, forest=like Chicagoland.
These pictures aren't great, but it was just taken from the car window. We have yet to go in to the city and walk around and see the sites.
This picture below is for Mr Bradley Spencer himself..
It was late.. but we had to go see the school..
