Crazy Cat People
We definitely fall under the category of "Crazy Cat People" and if we didn't before, we do now. Our cat, Minnie, turned 5 years old Friday the 21. So we did what Crazy Cat People do, and we threw her a party. I was in charge of the food-a cat cupcake- and Brian was in charge of games-chase the string.
The "party" lasted all of ten minutes before Minnie was bored of us and headed off for her daily snooze. But hey, it's not every day that one's cat turns 5 years old!
Her cupcake was simply cat food inside, cream cheese on top, and crushed cat treats on top. |
The String Game.. she goes crazy over it! |
I think she thoroughly enjoyed it! |

Windy
We just can't get enough of the water I guess! Two weeks after our cruise we are back! Except this time we're cruising in Lake Michigan with a view of Chicago instead of the islands. We went with our friends Dave and Hannah Knecht to Navy Pier and boarded the ship Windy. Our adventure included tales of the Great Lakes pirates, learning to put up the sails, and just enjoy our time and view!

○TO THE MOON○
So last day of our wonderful vacation... We got off the boat around 7:30, rented a car by 8 and then we took off to explore Cape Canaveral and Orlando. We decided since we cruised the Caribbean, we might as well head off to the moon as well right?
It was off to Kennedy Space Center- you know, the cool place where they launch all the rockets to outer space? Yeah! That place!
Pretty sweet!
We got to tour the launch areas, see the giant rockets-like REAL rockets! We got to train in flight simulator places and play Angry Birds Space games and watch some sweet IMAX films!

We got to touch the moon! Okay- a rock from the moon... Still cool! |
That little beauty is where they launch the rockets! |
Proud to be an American! |

~~~Just Cruisin'~~~
Thursday and Friday were days at Sea. We learned a dance so we could be in a flash mob which was really fun to do. I finished my book called Bitterblue, the 3rd in a series called Graceling, Brian finished reading a book called Tell No One.
Our "adopted" family
Friday Morning we got up early (around 5:45) to watch the sunrise.. it was absolutely stunning. I love watching it rise on the ocean. Around 7 am, Brian and I watched as the ship went right into a storm. For the next 45 minutes it poured.. Like buckets and buckets. Water was running everywhere! There was lots of lightning and thunder as well. Brian and I were the only ones-ONLY ones that stayed on deck to play in the rain and then watch it. We heard people complaining about how terrible it was that the last day of their vacation was ruined. I couldn't help but think about how it only enhanced ours. It was so beautiful!
Then as suddenly as it came-the sun came out and dried up all the rain! It was awesome! Half the ship was just waking up and had no idea that it had even rained! It was just such a tender mercy to me and a beautiful.. just beautiful!
Above are our awesome stewards! They were so sweet! IMade is from Indonesia! and Elena is from Macedonia! They were the sweetest spirits! I really wish that I would have had more opportunities to get to know them better! We gave them both a Book of Mormon-just wanting to share our happiness with them!
Below is another cruise ship.. so cool to see how they are lit up at night!
Sad that our vacation is over! But SO grateful for the opportunity we had to go! It was wonderful!
Our underwater camera sometimes still has water on it when we take pictures! Whoops! |
We did lots of snoozing and reading |
