Zion National Park

Here we are on our temple trip! We spent the weekend in Zion National Park, climbing in the beautiful canyon. On Sunday we took a little Sunday hike to climb a hike called Hidden Canyon. We met one of Brian's friends from High School John Gubler and his wife Kelsi while on the trail. We decided to join them as we climbed.

When we got to the point that was considered the end for most people, we decided we would keep going down the canyon. It was really fun to climb up over large obstacles and rocks.

The next day we tackled Angel's Landing. This hike was named in 1916 when a group of explorers had claimed looking up at the rock, "Only an Angel could land on it." It's an incredible hike to the top! We really enjoyed it, especially as we walked along the ridge with a 1200 ft drop on one side and then 800 ft drop on the other.

We built a rock tower to leave our marking on the trail. We had a lot of "ooohs and ahhhs."

The view was incredible from the top. We enjoyed our lunch in the sun with the gorgeous view.

Now it is time to get to work. We've done 4 temples to this point, and have the rest to finish this week! It's so exciting! :)
