Mr. & Mrs. Larson

    We did it!
First post as Mrs. Larson! What a beautiful wedding we had! Thank you all who showed your love and support by coming or sending us gifts or just sending your love! The temple was even more amazing than I could have ever imagined! I don't even have words to describe the beautiful spirit that was felt inside among all my family. The luncheon went splendid although my cake's bow on top melted a bit.. but if that is all that went wrong I will take it! It was a very emotional and heart-felt luncheon and I felt more love in that room than I have ever felt in my life. I am so grateful for so many wonderful family and friends! After we drove straight from the luncheon to the airport to hop on a plane by 3 and be on our way to the Caribbean! Honeymoon pictures will be up soon! :)

Day 0!!!!! The Right PERSON, in the Right PLACE, at the Right TIME-Is TODAY!

Of course I am posting this post ahead of time because I knew I wouldn't have time to post on the actual day. But I really just wanted to post my real poem for Brian. Now I am planning on reading this poem (If all goes well) at my luncheon. Brian proposed to me through a poem, so I will read this one for him on the day of our wedding. I hope it isn't cheesy.. :)
On September 9, not long ago
I fell in love and I’ll never know
Just what it was that made me feel
So drawn to you, what was the appeal?
That set my pulse like a horse in a race
Whenever I gaze upon that face
I’ll never know the how’s and the why’s
But I lost my heart to hazel eyes
People said you were born with a smile
It radiates from you and gives you style
To be a gentleman you never cease
That’s probably why you’re a sext beast
And when I’m around you I easily melt
Because I feel the best that I have ever felt
Your positive attitude is so contagious
Making everyone happy because it’s so outrageous
Through thick and thin we’ll tough it out
And really see what marriage is all about
With God you will always stand firm
Proving to me that I have a lot to learn
I know I’m not perfect and it can be a bother
Making you a better husband and future father
You are so wonderful to everyone around
And you are the best I could have ever found
And with your ridiculous good-looks
You’ve captured my like a fish on hooks
And to my initials I’ll add a new letter
Oh! You make me want to always be better
When I look in your eyes, it’s only you and me
And in the temple there will be a bond we can’t see
It’ll wrap us up in its cocoon
And hold us fiercely together in its womb
Though this relationship stared up fast,
Bonds like this are meant to last
And though the rains and winds will come
To ruin our bond and make it undone
Though at times it may seem to break
Instead more are forming in its wake
To bring us closer and keep us strong
And forever more together we belong
I love the way you look at me
Like I’m the only thing that you see
You create my Goosebumps and send chills down my spine
I’m so blessed that you are mine
I love how we’re always so happy
Especially when you say, “kiss me”
I can always tell you really care
Because whenever I need you you’re always there
Through my world of darkness you were the light
And I love you with all my heart and might
Your touch, you voice, illuminates my soul
It is because of you that I’m now whole
It is your happiness and laugh
You really are my other better half
With your love my heart is filled
With your care every fear is stilled
I can’t help but smile when I hear your name
It’s your loving heart that keeps out of the rain
Your humility, support, and guidance is the ultimate roof
Along with your testimony—you know the truth
I only hope I can improve your life
By being the best mother and wife
To me you were a stranger once
And now my companion in a few short months
I think of you each morning and dream of you each night
I think of your arms around me and can’t express my delight
When I’m with you eternity is a step away
My love continues to grow with each passing day
You bring a joy to my heart I’ve never felt before
And with every passing moment I love you more and more
So I hope these seven words will to you be held true
“Forever and always I will love you.”
There it is.. I plan on giving him this today at the luncheon. I hope I get the opportunity. I am so excited for this day. It has been like a child waiting for Christmas times a Ba-zillion! "If I gave you my hand, would you take it and make me the happiest man in the world? If I told you my heart couldn't beat one more minute without you girl..." I can't wait to walk out of the temple and turn to Brian and ask him our favorite line from our song....

"Would You Go With Me"

Day 1! From Here to Eternity..

I never thought this day would come. I'm writing this in complete unbelief. One more day... Tomorrow, is the big day. The day that Brian and I make the biggest decision of our lives. Our lives will never be the same again. But the best part is, they are only going to get better from here. I pray that everyone will one day have the opportunity that I have to marry their best friend in the temple for time and all eternity. What a marvelous blessing the temple is to our lives. People around the world are blessed by the presence of temples here on earth and they don't even know it. I earnestly hope that all who are worthy to enter into the temple will desire to be married there, even those who aren't worthy I pray will work to be worthy to enter.
I finished my packing and praying that I didn't forget anything important. Brian and I left in the afternoon down to the Ogden Temple for one last grand experience before we were to be married. My good friend Trinity Key was able to go to the temple for her very first time ever. A little over a year ago I gave her a Book Of Mormon and watched her progress on this journey to attend the temple. February of 2010 she took the discussions, and now, a year later, she was able to perform the sacred ordinances in the temple. What a beautiful experience that was to be there with her. To congratulate her on her journey here. Brian was able to use his glorious priesthood and baptize and confirm us. I feel so blessed to be apart of these wonderful lives. These grand examples to me to always strive to be better each day and live up to my divine potential.
Today is also a wonderful man's birthday. It's my future Father-In-Law Craig's birthday. Craig has been such a wonderful Father thus far. He take such good care of me and is always asking me about my life and what he can do to help. He is so supportive and such a hard working man. He has helped me out so much and really stuck up for me in some tough situations. I feel honored to be his daughter-in-law. I wish him a wonderful birthday and hope that he knows how much I love him and how excited I am to be a permanent part of his family. Happy Birthday Craig!
I marry my best friend in the whole wide world tomorrow. I will become one with him as we enter that sacred covenant of marriage together. I love this feeling.. this feeling of accomplishment of such a sacred blessing, but then looking ahead at such a bright future for the two of us. I love Brian J Larson SO much!

Day 2! Love Like Crazy

Be your best friend, tell the truth, and overuse I love you
Go to work, do your best, don't outsmart your common sense
Never let your prayin' knees get lazy
And love like crazy
There are TWO more days to the wedding. Two! Things are really getting wrapped up now. Brian and I are finishing up our tests and preparing ourselves in all the ways possible for this life-changing event. I moved more belongings into my apartment today and packed a little for the honeymoon. I am praying I don't forget anything important.. like my passport, or his ring... or the marriage license! But I really feel the Lord with me at this time now more than ever before in my life. The best way to go into marriage I feel.. is by allowing the spirit to take you there.

Day 4! History in the Making...

Brian had his final interview with his stake president tonight, President Woodland, in which the President invited me as long as well saying that he had some counsel for us before we were going to be married. Brian had his time first which I guess went well because he came out smiling and just told me how much he loved me. He took me into the room where we sat and had one of the most amazing and profound discussions I have ever been blessed with. Now I won't share what he said except for this one part. He talked about linking the chain.
He said that with Brian and I uniting in marriage this Saturday, we would be blessed with a wonderful opportunity to link not only our future children and posterity to us, but that our ancestors would be linked as well. He told us that this would be the time in our lives when we will really feel their presence, encouraging us and helping us through. He said it with such power and authority that it really struck me and hit me so hard I couldn't help but be emotional. Brian and I are raising up a family together... but also connecting past families.
As a child I always grew up with my dad telling us that our home was a castle and his kingdom. He taught us the importance of the home and not only keeping it clean literally, but not allowing certain things into our home that would pollute it and us. Brian and I are now going to raise our our own kingdom together. The thought leaves me with such a peaceful feeling. :) I had this song in my head all day... So I had to post it!
History in the Making
Don’t move Baby Don’t move
Awww look at you
I just want to take this in
The moonlight dancing off your skin
Our time Lets take our time
I just want to look in your eyes
and catch my breath
Cuz I just got a feeling

This could be one of those memories
We want to hold on to, cling to,
one we can’t forget
Baby, this could be our last first kiss
The door to forever
What if this was that moment
That chance worth taking
History in the making

Inside, baby inside
Can you feel the butterflies?
Floating all around
Cuz I can sure feel them now
Tonight, maybe tonight
Is a start of a beautiful ride
that will never end
And baby I’ve got a feeling

This could be one of those memories
We want to hold on to, cling to,
One we can’t forget
Baby, this could be our last first kiss
The door to forever
What if this was that moment
That chance worth taking
History in the making

Right here, right now
Holding you in my arms

This could be one of those memories
We want to hold on to, we want to cling to,
One that we can’t forget
Baby, this could be our last first kiss
The door to forever
What if this was that moment
That chance worth taking
History in the making

Day 5! Embracing the Future

Brian started moving his stuff into the apartment today. I started packing my things in boxes and taking down ALL my stuff on my walls to my room. Now my room is so empty it echoes. Ha. I am really excited to move in to our new apartment and to just have my own place.... But I'm super nervous to move away from a group of girls... to a guy. Ya, I know! I had to take a big breath on that one! Brian is so wonderful and I know he will be such a great husband, but there is still this mysterious nature about giving up the single life and providing for yourself. It will be one big adventure though and no matter my fears, I'm ready to embrace it with Brian.
I will have to get some pictures on here soon of the apartment. It's pretty cute! One bedroom, One bath, and a family room with a really small box kitchen, but it will be perfect for us for a few months. My sister and brother-in-law are letting us use some of their furniture and Brian's parents are letting us use a bed so we will be all set to go! Home sweet home will soon be awaiting us! :)
