Uhauling 1500 miles?

Well it is official! We are now residents of North Chicago Illinois! We drove away at 5:30 in the morning from the small town of Huntsville on Tuesday July 31 and said hello to the large city of Chicago on Wednesday August 1. We drove straight through with one 6 hour stop at a hotel to get some shut-eye (We really just wanted to get there).
Our drive through Wyoming, Nebraska, and Iowa was pretty boring. Corn and Soybeans take up everything that is in sight. I had no idea that the US grew all that corn! We repeated the same line to each other the whole ride, "Plant'n corn, harvest'n corn, and eat'n corn..." (See if you can name that movie!) We are definitely happy to be here, though it is going to take some getting used to. (My hair has been having a hay day with all the humidity!) School started for Brian this week and I started my job (details coming soon).
This is our Uhaul that held all of our belongings. Granted it's only half full. We've already been told by so many astonished people, "That's all you brought?" Yep! We brought out two pieces of furniture. A king size bed (I couldn't part with it..) and a desk. The rest we're shopping for on Craigslist and good ol Walmart.
I'll post pictures of our place and the area, and all the fun we've had the past few weeks before the move, when we finally get internet. (I'm at the library now using the interent). Ta ta for now!
